Please use these resources as you see fit while you explore your options in educating your child at home.
HSLDA – The Homeschool Legal Defense Association
The HSLDA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt, religious, membership organization that advocates for homeschooling, defends the civil rights of homeschoolers, and provides assistance to homeschoolers in hard times.
This website will have homeschooling laws for all fifty states, as these laws vary state-by-state.
AFHE – Arizona Families for Home Education
The AFHE describes themselves as “the statewide organization that has been serving the needs and protecting the rights of Arizona’s homeschooling families since 1983. AFHE membership supports the preservation of homeschool freedom as we watch legislation that may affect parents’ rights to teach their children at home in Arizona.”
If you live in Arizona, this is a great resource to check out. Our state has a fairly lax homeschooling policy and basically only requires a single affadavit once your child is six years of age.
